2. Joshua Tree National Park

3. The Marilyn Monroe Statue ‘Forever Marilyn’ 

When thinking of Palm Springs, one name immediately comes to mind: Marilyn Monroe. This is largely due to the massive statue of her that has become a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the city’s downtown. Standing at 26 feet (7.92 meters) tall, the Statue is truly monumental. The story behind its popularity as a Palm Springs hotspot is equally compelling. The statue captures the iconic scene from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch, where Marilyn’s dress is blown up by a subway breeze, immortalizing her in pop culture. This sculpture also commemorates Marilyn Monroe’s special connection to Palm Springs.
