Ice Monster, Taiwanese franchise, is known for its cotton candy texture shave ice. Similar to Korea’s “bingsoo”, shave ice at Ice Monster are topped with various toppings and ice cream. Ice Monster was featured on CNN and Travel + Leisure as shave ice has been named one of the top 10 desserts in the world.
This popular global franchise Ice Monster had its debut in the US with Waikiki location on January 2019. Ice Monster Waikiki is located on the first floor of Hyatt Centric Hotel, near the newly renovated International Market Place. Ice Monster opened its very first store in 1997 in Taiwan, and soon expanded to 3, 10 in China and 4 in Japan.

The dessert shop is decorated in blue and yellow and also available are souvenirs. During grand opening, the founder of Ice Monster, Frank Lo, flew all the way to Hawaii to make shave ice for the attendees.
