Chef Chai Restaurant is located on the first floor of Pacifica Honolulu building on Kapiolani Boulevard, about 15 minutes from Waikiki.  Pacifica Honolulu is near Kakaako, a new “hip” residential and commercial district, and the famous Ala Moana Shopping Centre.

The restaurant is set up with outdoor and indoor dining spaces in luxurious manner. Outdoor seating allows you to enjoy the street view, so you can dine in with the natural, cool breeze. When you open the restaurant’s door, you’ll find a long extensive bar set up marvelously and narrow dining hall with small tables that leads to a spacious hall with semi-private room and a stage for live performances.

Foie Gras Chawan Mushi with Toasted Brioche and Black Berry Manoa Honey Compote

For this appetizer, soft custard mix with foie gras is topped onto  blackberry jam mixed with honey and toasted brioche spread. This gives a refreshing yet sweet and soft texture that melts in your mouth. The appetizer truly stimulates one’s appetite and is a great example of Chef Chai’s original creation, 

Fresh Ahi Tartar with Avocado Mousse in a Miniature Waffle Cone

One of Hawaii’s most popular dishes is Ahi (tuna) Poke. This is a miniature serving of Ahi Poke. The name of the menu is Ahi Tartar and is always included in Chef Chai’s party food essentials as it is universally loved. Avocado and Ahi Poke make a layer in the cone. The entire waffle cone fits in one’s mouth.
Gravlax Salmon Roulade with Cream Cheese & Crab Meat

Just take a look at this mouth-watering masterpiece. The bright color of salmon surely denotes its freshness and luxury. The roll is made with cream cheese and savory crab meat and smoked salmon and caviar on top. You will not be disappointed in its fresh and enlivening taste. Combination of cream cheese and smoked salmon might be a little heavy, but the fresh cucumber balances it out.

Duck meat and spicy mango salsa garnished with vegetables come in bite-sized tacos. This appetizer incorporates different textures and flavors. Inside, it’s really delicious because it’s full of plump and savory shrimp. Caprese Salad at Chef Chai is made up of soft Italian Mozzarella cheese, heirloom tomatoes and balsamic pearl. The taste was just right with enough dressing. Cheese, tomatoes and vegetables delivered a marvelous refreshing taste.

베지터블 테린 위드 그린 커리 소스/ Vegetable Terrine with Green Curry Sauce

 

What a  colorful dish.  This may look like a Korean rice cake, but it is made up of nutritious and healthy ingredients. Vegetable Terrine is made up of Okinawan potatoes, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, paprika, roasted blush and vegetable loaf and delivers a relatively low-calorie and light taste. The green curry sauce add extra flavor to the dish so that the vegetable dish is not too bland. Vegetable Terrine is popular among vegetarians and women.

그릴드 필레미뇽 매시드 포테이토 머쉬룸 퍼프 앤 멜롯 데미/ Grilled Filet Mignon with Mashed Potato, Mushroom Puff and Merlot Demi

 

The Filet Mignon was served in Beef Wellington style. Tenderloin steak, foie gras and mushroom were perfect recipes for this dish. When you slice up the pie, the rich taste of the dough flows out of it and blends with the juicy steak in perfection. It is quite an interesting taste of the crispy pie and soft, juicy steak that go well together. String beans (Haricot vert) and tomatoes add extra flavors and colors to the dish. The steak is thick and juicy.

This whole fish dish is perhaps the most visually appetizing and fancy item at Chef Chai. The fish looks like it just came out of the ocean and is laid out on the dish like an art. The crispy coated skin and juicy meat inside together will awe your taste. The sweet and sour sauce goes really well with the fish and adds an extra flavor and completes the dish.

그릴드 몽골리안 스타일 램 찹 위드 브랜디 데미/Grilled Mongolian Style Lamb Chops with Brandy Demi

 

The lamb chop is seasoned with salt and pepper, marinated with sugar, soy sauce, garlic and chili sauce and grilled at high temperature. This luxurious lamb dish is served on a plate along with mashed potatoes, peas, red peppers and cauliflowers. The taste of grill completes the smooth and soft meat texture.

To digest all those food, a sweet dessert is necessary at the end.  This heart-shaped dessert will make you smile. The heart covered in thick white chocolate contains refreshing sherbet, and raspberry guava filling under the chocolate ice cream cake. This dessert is great for two and highly unresistable. .

This beautiful and quiet private space is  suitable for wedding and special events. It boasts sophistication and luxury. The chandeliers are made up of wine glasses.
