Island Slipper Grand Re-Opening at Royal Hawaiian Center – May 23

Island Slipper in Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center opened in 2013, and recently updated its logo to fit more contemporary style, renovated the store and held a grand re-opening on May 23. The updated logo has a drawing of an island and canoe. The company started out as a small family-run business and has expanded its business to corporate level. The products are also exported. Its mission is to maintain an eco-friendly, authentic and innovative business.
Island Slipper GRAND RE-OPENING Event (Thursday May 23, 2019)
Island Slippers at Royal Hawaiian store has been rearranged slightly. Upon entry, on the right side, there is the Women’s fashion corner. The green wall with beautiful tropical floral arrangement complements the platforms, wedges, or flats that the store offers.
On the left side, Classic collections for men and women are on display. The brand’s most iconic and versatile slipper is the Classic leather thong slipper made by the original founder of Island Slipper, John Carpenter. The slipper has been loved since the late 80’s. Over the years, the slipper has been made with suede, denim, and lately they have been using a printed eco canvas. Eco Canvas is a 100% polyester canvas made with 45% recycled content and printed using ecologically-safe transfer sublimation inks that provide vibrant color and strong wash durability. It’s made and printed right here in America.
