HAWAII FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL –  Hawaiian Airlines Presents Winederland

 

Enter Winederland—a fantasy world for oenophiles featuring a who’s who of the world’s greatest Cabernets, including Opus One, Silver Oak, and Favia. Swirl, sip, and savor 20 acclaimed wines poured by their actual winemakers and pair them with dishes by 20 renowned chefs on the rooftop of the Hawaii Convention Center.

On October 26th, Hawaii Food & Wine Festival held ‘Winederland’ event at Hawai’i Convention Center.
20 world-class chefs, 18 wine makers and 12 mixologists participated in ‘Winederland’ and exhibited their cuisine and drinks. Among them are chefs behind Hawaiian Airlines in-flight meals.
Jung Chang Wook, who has been a part of the talents behind Hawaiian Airline in-flight meals since 2016, exhibited ‘Pyunsoossam’ which is a dumpling style wrap with beef and shitake mushroom. Another famous Korean chef Chris Oh also participated in the event.
Hawaii Food & Wine Festival commenced in 2011 and has been Hawaii’s annual flagship festival. Approximately 150 famous master chefs, winemakers, and mixologists participate every year. For this year, 17 different events were held in Oahu, Maui and Big Island from October 6th to the 28th. The co-founders of Hawaii Food & Wine Festival are Roy Yamaguchi and Alan Wong, recipients of James Beard Award, which is said to be the food industry’s Oscar.
